I had a go at making a Masterboard recently for a challenge set by my crafty pal Debbie. The challenge was to use cool colours and to make a Christmas themed project with it afterwards.
Here is my Masterboard. I used Distress Inks in Broken China, Black Soot and Peeled Paint for the background. The snowflakes were stamped in blue and green and I used plain old white gesso to stamp snowflakes and make lines over the top of it all.
I cut it into six fairly equal pieces and edged each piece with Black Soot Distress Ink
and here's one of the batch of six cards I made. The snowflake die is by Tim Holtz for Sizzix. The Sentiment is by Tonic.

ReplyDeleteI love your masterboard... though it wasn't until I got to the last picture that I realised it was a wintry one. I'd been seeing blossom and leaves against a spring sky - then had to turn my head around the snowflakes!! I guess we see what we want to see... In any case, it's really lovely, and the card works beautifully.

ReplyDeleteThat photo of your dog with the bin lid around his neck always makes me chuckle!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
