I've squirreled away beautiful papers

for the longest time and it's about time I used some of them. I found this gorgeous orange paper while I was looking for something else (isn't it always the way). Here's what I did with it...

I used a Kraft card base and a deep rusty red as a contrast with the orange paper

I used some Black Soot DI to edge the wings and then sprinkled on some Holographic Embossing Powder for a subtle sparkle

  1. Two smashing cards, I QUITE understand how you couldn't bring yourself to use the orange before now but love what you did with it ..... the B.S. distress ink and holographic E.P. really gives those butterflies a kick too

Hope it's not too wet where you are this morning .....

  3. Absolutely gorgeous and I'm so pleased to have found your new bloggy ! Isn't it great when you find things in your stash you had forgotten you had ! I'm doing a lot if that whilst undertaking the (very lengthy) sort out and reorganisation of my craft room. Love the papers you unearthed, fabulous colours and that's a very pretty and twinkly butterfly.
