Again with the Quick and Simple... No time for anything else at the moment. Here's a Birthday card I made with some off cuts and one of my favourite sets of butterfly stamps from Clearly Besotted

Deer Me!

Morning all

Hope you remembered to put your clocks back and make the most of that extra hour in bed :oD

Here's another quick card (can you see a theme developing here?) I made as a batch of 6 ready for Christmas. Hopefully this tactic of making cards in batches will save me from several sleepless nights and the inevitable pre-Christmas onset of Crafter's Crouch.

Love that Crafts-Too Reindeer. Love him EVEN MORE sprayed with stick and spray and bathed in lots of sparkly GLITTER :oD

A Quick and Simple Anniversary Card

...but I have to say I love it. Must do more like this. I rarely use pink but I really like the pink and grey together.

It's back up the ladder for me again today but we're off to the Albert Hall to hear Carmina Burana and The William Tell Overture this evening (just hope I can get the paint out of my hair!?)

GOOD GRIEF! Is it really July since I posted anything?

In response to some heckling from my crafty pals, and with apologies for the lack of anything much on my bloggy of late; here are a couple of wedding cards I made recently

The first was for my lovely crafty pal Fiona. I made it well in advance but still managed to be adding more glitter at the last minute ;oD Why does that always happen?

Love that gorgeous Spellbinders window die. Really must use it more.

and the second card is one to keep in my stash just in case. I kept it really simple to make the most of one of my all time favourite Basic Grey papers. I love it!

Back soon with some scrummy Whipper Snapper Snowies and some batch cards I've been making for Christmas

My first attempt at a Tilda Doll

and I have to say it wasn't as difficult as I thought. Okay, the hair WAS difficult but I reckon with practise I can probably conquer it...

Apologies for the photography. We've had nothing but rain for the past couple of days so the light is terrible PLUS I found it quite difficult to photograph her as she's quite a big dolly and it's difficult to get all off her in the photograph without making her look teeny tiny.

Anyhoo, enough excuses. Here she is

...and then again...maybe not....sorry...

I did take a bit of poetic license with her by adding her little head scarf but other than that I think she's exactly like the example in the book which, by the way, is the Homestyle one.

She's a crafty angel for my pal Louise so she will be on her way to a new home as soon as I know when Louise will be home to collect her.

Christmas in July

I met up with some pals at Newbury Racecourse for the Artstamps show yesterday and splurged on some new stamps and dies. Couldn't wait to play so I scampered on up to my craft room and made this card to add to my stash of Christmas Cards. OF COURSE there are mice on it. I couldn't resist :oD

The show was much smaller than usual but there was plenty there to keep us interested and I came home with quite a haul of bargains so that should keep me happy for a while :oD Guess you'd better watch this space....
